WebFable 2 is about playing how you want to play, that's why you can invite a high level friend to join you even when your just starting out. So if you die in combat and feel like you should be punished more then just a scar then reload a save, nobody is stopping you. Personally I try to get zero scars without taking any resurrection potions with me.
