Web8 de out. de 2013 · Members. 9. Posted October 7, 2013. Just bought and installed a Corsair H100i. Mounted the fans onto the cooler body, and then noticed that the screws are too long! They extend into the body of the cooler and actually hit and damage the cooling fins! And no, I did not overtighten the screws, and I didn't install the fans incorrectly. Webif you damaged the fins, then no big deal as the rad is still functional. If you somehow damaged those tubes that liquid flows through then the rad will leak. if the damage is tiny, it may not be easily visible but a pressure/leak tester will show that once the rad is pressurized. if you do conclude that the rad is leaking then its a throaway ...

My screws are only just long enough because of the rubber washers, with the screws in the kit I may be able to put some insulation between the rad and the case.
