WebPoly (A) binding proteins (PABP 1–5) are a family of RRM-containing proteins involved in multiple levels of mRNA regulation, including translational initiation, termination, stability, and mRNA-specific degradation [76, 77]. PABPs are both nuclear and cytoplasmic and are major components of mRNA-protein complexes.
